This is an activity filled travel package with a major focus on wildlife. There is a lot to see within a short time. With gorilla and chimpanzee tracking as the highlights, other activities include rhino walking safari, game drives, boat trips, tree-climbing lions search, optional community/cultural tour, and much more!
Day 1
Drive to Murchison Falls National Park, Walking Safari to the Rhinos & Visit to the Top of Falls
Today, you will drive to the west to one of the most beloved national parks. You will take a walking safari to track the white rhinos. You will have lunch along the way. Before heading to the lodge, you'll drive to the top of Murchison Falls. You can take a walk to the bottom of the falls and enjoy the amazing views. This is the most scenic part of the park and Murchison Falls is the most powerful waterfall in the world.
Day 2
Morning Game Drive, Boat Cruise, Evening Game Drive
Today, you will have an early morning game drive. You will have an opportunity to search for elephants, hartebeests, antelopes, and different kinds of birds. On a good day, you can see the lions and leopard in one drive. After lunch, you will explore the River Nile up to the bottom of the Falls, where the movie The Queen of Africa Movie of 1951 was shot. You can choose to have an extra evening game drive or relax in the evening.
Day 3
Transfer to Kibale National Park
Today, you will drive south to the jungle of Kibale, also known as the primate capital of the world with premium chimpanzee tracking. You will have lunch along the way. You can choose to relax at the lodge or take a guided walk through the community after the long drive.
Day 4
Chimpanzee Tracking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After an early breakfast, you'll drive to Kibale Forest National Park, a tropical rainforest, or you can call it the Primate Capital of the World with 13 species of primates and check in for a briefing. You will later on be divided into small groups and enter the forest with a park ranger. This activity usually takes around three hours, including a full hour of their company. You are advised to carry enough drinking water. After the activity, you will have lunch and head to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Day 5
Early Morning Game Drive and Boat Trip on Kazinga Channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park
You'll embark on an exciting early-morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will reach the lodge in time for lunch. After lunch, you will go for a Boat cruise on Kazinga Channel. After that, you will go for an evening game drive to look for animals. There is an opportunity to see animals like elephants, lions, leopards and lots of birds.
Day 6
Transfer to Bwindi NP via Ishasha for a Game Drive in Search for Tree-Climbing Lions
After breakfast, you will proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. On your way to Bwindi, you will visit the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park called Ishasha, famously known for its tree-climbing lions. You will have lunch along the way.
Day 7
Gorilla Tracking & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After an early breakfast, you will drive to the briefing point in the forest of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to be enlightened about your adventure with the mountain gorillas. You are advised to carry enough drinking water and a lunch box. For 15 US dollars, you can get a porter to carry your bag and give you a hand in slippery or steep parts of the forest. After the briefing, you are distributed into groups of eight and led by a park ranger into the forest. Rain gear is important, considering that Bwindi is a tropical rainforest. You will then be transferred to Lake Bunyonyi, where you can take a boat trip, swim, or explore the surrounding communities on foot!
Day 8
Transfer to Entebbe Town
You will drive to Entebbe this morning, where you will cross the Equator and have lunch along the way. You will be transferred to the airport to start your journey back home.
