Embark on a 2-day gorilla trekking safari in Rwanda. Drive through the unwinding hills in rural areas into the home of endangered mountain gorillas. Begin your safari from Kigali’s urban settings up to the beautiful village of Musanze.
Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
at 8:00am Start the day with a pick-up from your hotel in Kigali or the airport (if you have arrived on an early morning flight that day). Begin your city tour at Kigali Genocide Memorial ground, where over 25,000 bodies of victims of genocide were given a decent burial.
Later, have lunch in a local restaurant before being transported to Musanze – Volcanoes National Park, where you will have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla Trek – Kigali
After an early morning breakfast, at 6:30 AM, be transferred to the park’s headquarters in Kinigi, be briefed by the park guides about the rules and regulations of mountain gorilla tracking before you head off to the jungle in search of these gentle giants.
The gorilla trek can last from an hour to six hours depending on the gorilla’s movements. The trek is strenuous at times but incredibly rewarding. Be given an hour with the gorillas to take as many pictures as possible. Once you have returned from your trek, head for lunch in one of the local restaurants, before hitting the road to find your way back to Kigali, where you will be dropped at your hotel or the Kigali airport to catch up with your evening flight.
